New Antique Find and a Finish!

I started this rug over a year ago, but never finished it until this past week.  It is an old Buttermilk Basin pattern.  Sorry for the slightly out of focus picture...didn't notice that until just now!  I think I will finish this as a pillow.

Stopped in my favorite local antique shop last weekend and found a great old basket at a really great price....so I bought it.  I have a weakness for baskets of all kinds, and my collection is growing almost too large for our home...almost!  I suppose at some future date, I will be forced to downsize my collection.  THAT will be hard to do.  My candlestick collection is nearing the same point...don't want to think about that either.

We have SUNSHINE today and it is supposed to be 63 degrees....WOOOOOO HOOOOO!!  There is so much cleanup that I need to do outside, but the inside is in even worse shape right now!  So today is cleaning day....right up until I can't resist a little rug hooking break....that will likely be the end of the cleaning.  LOL!

Hugs, Linda

  1. Cute little rug Linda - it will make a nice pillow - does it have a border? LOVE your new old basket - they can be pricey so I'm glad you got a good deal on it.
