This mat is the newest project that I'm working on. Yes, ANOTHER horse! The other one is still being worked on, but I have found that a very large rug does not supply instant gratification in the form of finished projects, so I've done a few little projects while still hooking the larger rug!
This rug is approx. 10" x 15", and is a free pattern from a magazine. I'll give all the information when I post the finished picture...hopefully in a few days!

ReplyDeleteThis is a Polly Minick free pattern from the Winter 2012 issue of "Primitive Quilts and Projects" (page 50). It is called "Stoneware Horse" which Polly hooked in blues. It is a huge rug which I hooked the actual size printed on the pattern insert...Polly's version was 30" x 50"!
That red saddle really pops against the other colors - I'm guessing you'll include some red in the tongues on the border too? FUN!
