Blogging Again!

Lots of busy months have passed since my last blog post, and I have missed talking with you all.  I can't believe that it has been 10 months ( it seems to have passed so quickly), and I have been wanting to jump back into my Wool Cupboard blog.

I did become a little obsessed with another blog (political) for much of the time that I have been away from The Wool Cupboard.  Lately, I've grown frustrated with not having enough time to devote to research and writing on the other blog, and have realized that it had become more and more like "homework" and had changed from being a challenge to being a weight on my shoulders.

Anyway, I have continued to follow many of your blogs and have been both impressed and JEALOUS of all the projects and hook-ins and camps that you have written about.  I have been working on a mid-sized cat rug for over a year (sporadically).  It has been the most frustrating hooking that I have attempted, and I recently decided that I don't even think I like the incomplete rug enough to finish it!  That was a shock to admit to myself.  After spending so much time and effort, not to mention WOOL, I felt obligated to see it through to the end...and then I asked myself, "Why?"

If I don't think I will ever display the rug, then why waste more time and use more expensive wool on a project about which I have so little enthusiasm?  Anyway, I'm on to the next rug!

Tomorrow, my husband and I are going to St. Louis.  I'll talk to you about the trip in another post soon.

Thank you to those who have continued to visit The Wool Cupboard even during my extended absence.  I'm looking forward to hooking rugs with friends again...thank you.
