Garden in a Bowl

I had some leftover moss from the moss terrarium (see last post) that I made this week, so I decided to do something else with it. This clay bowl was collecting dust in the garage all winter, so I washed it off and using the same methods as the terrarium, I planted a moss container garden!

As you can see, Rusty decided to "help" plant the moss. He was better at digging it up than planting, however!
Today was in the upper 70's and partly sunny, so I took advantage of it and planted a lilac bush and a viburnum. I also weeded some of the flower beds and decided that some changes need to be made. Grass has always been a problem in my flowers and it sometimes wins a battle or two. I think some re-planting is in order, so I'm going to try to come up with a plan to update a few areas. The garden pond needs some sprucing up, too! We have lived in our house for 29 years, so we are at the point where lots of things need some TLC.
My rug hooking has been stalled for the past few weeks. I had a couple of projects that I wanted to start, but for various reasons didn't get going on them. I would like to begin a larger rug and then another pillow, I think. Have a great rest of the week!
