New Little Rug Finished!

This fun little mat was fun and fast to hook!  Love the way it turned out...can you tell I'm in the mood for Fall?  Rug measures 7" x 8 1/4" and is hooked with hand dyed and as-found wools.  The eye of the crow is an antique leather shoe button.

Just a word about the verdict in the George Zimmerman trial...it seems that so many who did not hear any of the evidence, or know any of the circumstances,  rushed to judgement and attributed racist labels to many innocent people in this whole tragedy.  The jurors who were selected and approved by both sides of this case have made a seemingly very difficult decision based upon hours and hours of testimony by dozens of experts and witnesses.  Please pray that people will trust the system that America has used for centuries to have resulted in the best possible verdict based on all evidence available.   Let's not support or ignore criminal behavior as being acceptable "response" to anger over the verdict.  This is our system...not perfect,  but the most equality based system in the world.  God bless America.

Hope we all have a good week.
Linda

  1. Hi, Linda,
Cute mat! After the heat this week, I'm in the mood for fall too! I love the border, how did you do the two different wools every other stitch?

    Hugs,

    Love the beading! Very sweet.
You are so right about the trial and verdict. Mainstream media does not present an unbiased version of the facts.
    Hugs :)

  3. That beading on the border sure adds a lot of ZIP to the design! And the crow's sunflower necklace is a great idea! I can't quite bring myself to work on any fall projects yet so I admire you for thinking ahead!
