Posy Pony Progress
I've been pretty busy for the past week and haven't had much time to hook, but I have made a little progress. This is a rather large rug, so it will take some time. I'm not sure if I will leave the color choices as they are, but I'll be able to judge it better as more area is covered. I want the rug to be primitive, of course, so I'm trying out different wools to see which I like most...probably the way most people hook!! I love this pattern, so I want to get it right...even if it means a lot of "reverse hooking!"
Jess has a new bed which we found at a great price online. It turned out to be MUCH larger and fluffier in person, so I'm not sure where it will end up in the house! As you can see, she took an immediate liking to the soft cushion (which is actually the color of the bottom photo - not blue!), and has been buried up to her sizable ears ever since the FedEx guy brought it!
We need to put Jess on a diet, as you can see. She LOVES cat food, and every time she goes outside, she runs around to the back deck to where we feed Graybee and inhales every morsel left in the dish. We've been feeding Graybee twice a day (or more) since he had a bout with feline hepatic lipidosis in April, so there is usually some remaining food around. Jess has been the beneficiary...and how! She is definitely food motivated....obsessed is a more apt description, and I've read that Basenji's can tend to ......er.......fill out! What happened to our trim little puppy?? Sigh.....I'm thinking about my own similar problem!
Have a great week!
