Bishop Hill Hook In

The Bishop Hill Hook In was wonderful!  A great group of ladies from several states, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas and Illinois met for a day of hooking, shopping,  and chatting...lots of chatting! (Oh, and I forgot EATING!)

The event was sponsored by Prairie Arts Center in Bishop Hill.  Ella Davison was an entertaining and gracious host.  I'm already looking forward to going back next year.

Sally Kallin of Pine Island Primitives was the vendor and WOW, such beautiful wools.  Her patterns are also WOW!   I purchased a large pattern (as well as some wool) and can't wait to begin in the new rug.  I will post more on that later.

The only problem that happened was..........I forgot my camera.  HOW COULD I HAVE FORGOTTEN MY CAMERA?????

An angel from Bishop Hill drove to a neighboring town and purchased a disposable camera for me.  Bless her heart!  So....I will have pictures (quality may be "iffy"), but I hope to post pictures of rugs as soon as I get the pix developed.

The picture above is one of the TWO door prizes I won.  They actually had enough door prizes for everyone to get one prize and many got two!  I won two!  The absolutely adorable needle felted pin of a mustachioed snowman with monocle was made by Vicki Hardcastle of  Hogscald Holler Blog.
Vicki is a very energetic artist and was hooking a beautiful Wendy Miller rug.

I also won this beautiful hand crafted basket.  It is divided inside into four compartments.   I love it.

I'm sorry for the lack of rug pictures at present, but I hope to have several to share later this week.

Have a great week!
Linda

  1. What a great basket! I saw a few ladies at my hook-in who used baskets for their rug hooking tools; scissors, hooks, etc. Congraulations on your prizes and I can't wait to see the photos. :)
