New Christmas Project!!
A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned going to a local garden center/decorating center which holds an annual Christmas open house. I LOVE this place! They always have lots of great ideas for Christmas decorating and plenty of things to buy...sigh...oh to be rich...
Anyway, that day they were displaying chair decorations and at $64.00 per chair, let's just say I was "window shopping" only! Burlap ribbon is "the thing" this year, at least around here, and I did spring for some wired burlap ribbon in a couple of widths. Today, I put together some greenery (faux) that I have used in past years and the new burlap ribbon to make my own version of the chair decorations I saw that day. (Please excuse the protective dust layer on my chair :0) ...
I love the look and plan to use this idea this Christmas...I may add a little sparkle in the form of icy branches or something like that. I also found some very wide burlap about 18 " wide which I used to make a table runner to pull it all together.
Now I'm really in the mood to decorate for Christmas, but I will wait until after Thanksgiving.
I mailed the wool out to Melinda and Kathy, the winners of the giveaway, and look forward to having another giveaway in the near future.
May each of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family!
Hugs, Linda

I can't believe how real your greenery looks Linda - a very pretty addition to your decorating! Don't know if you've been reading my blog, but I added metallic gold polka dots to 12 burlap table runners for a wedding in two weeks - love the look of it - but the fuzz and lint was a nightmare to deal with!
ReplyDeleteHi, Linda,
ReplyDeleteYour chair decoration is just lovely. The greens are so realistic, where do you find them? All I ever seem to see in the cheapy stuff. I'm really looking forward to receiving my wool, thank you so much! Happy Thanksgiving to you :) Melinda
I thought those were real greens! The chair decorations are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!

Really liking this chair decorating. A matching runner will set off your table scape.
